Children's Matangi (Saraswati) Homa

Matangi (Saraswati) Homa sponsorships are geared towards children. Please note that while only children from the ages of 6 - 21 can participate in the homam, devotees of any age can be in the sankalpam.

Every year a special homam in honour of Sri Matangi is held at the Temple. Matangi is a form of Saraswati, she blesses her devotees with knowledge and the 64 different art forms.

The real specialty of this homam is that it is the kids who get the chance to organize, run and participate in the puja and homam. Sponsorship opportunities are available below.

We kindly request that participating children be dressed appropriately for puja. This includes veshti for boys and pavadai or half saris for girls.
