Other Ways to Donate or Send Funds

Yes, we can accept wire transfers, which are a very good option for donors outside of the US. If you'd like to make a wire transfer, please email the Temple Office and we will send you our account details.

Please be sure to also fill out the Donation Tracking Form so that we know to expect your donation.

Yes. For domestic (US-based donors), ACH is preferred over wire transfers since it costs less for both the donor and the temple. Please see this article to understand the key differences.

ACH payment is already available as a payment option in our donation site, but it is best suited for monthly donations wherein the amount is small.  For larger, ad-hoc donation amounts (> USD 5K) it may be better to make an ACH payment directly from your bank to the temple’s bank account.

To make an ACH transfer, please contact the Temple Office and we will send you our account details.

Please be sure to also fill out the Donation Tracking Form so that we know to expect your donation.

Yes, you can mail a paper check if you prefer. Please make out the check to "SVTS" and mail it to:

Sri Vidya Temple Society
6980 E RIver Rd
Rush, NY  14543

Please include a note indicating what type of donation or sponsorship the check is for.

We are now accepting donations of shares in publicly traded companies. If you'd like to give a gift of securities, please send an email to the Temple Office, and we will send you our brokerage account details.

Please be sure to also fill out the Donation Tracking Form so that we know to expect your donation.

Our policy is to liquidate stock as soon as it is received. The value of the donation will be recorded in your donor account as the fair market value of the shares on the day we receive them in our brokerage account. Kindly note that since the transfer process can take a few business days, the final value of the donation will likely differ from the market value at the time of initiating the transfer.

While there are tax benefits to donating stock, we are unable to provide any specific guidance. Kindly check with a tax consultant before making the donation to understand the tax implications.

We are currently investigating ways to allow donations through Wise.com, and will update this page once that has been set up.
