Saniswara Peyarchi Offering (Potalam)

Sani peyarchi or Sani transit is a significant astrological event which occurs once in two and a half years. This year, Sani is transiting from Kumbha Rasi to Meena Rasi on March 29 at 1:31PM ET. This transit brings unique results for each Rasi (Zodiac sign) and 27 Nakshatras (Star constellations). Sani is called as "Karma Karaka" or lord of Justice. He delivers the results based on one's own past karma or actions. However, the impact can be considerably reduced by performing certain remedies.

Black sesame seeds (Til) is an auspicious offering for Saniswara known for its purifying properties, absorption of unwanted energies and also as a way to acknowledge his role in dispensing Karmic results. Those who are able to visit the Temple on Saturday morning (March 29) will have the chance to offer a packet of black sesame seeds (pottalam) into the homagni or homam fire during Navagraha homam by donation (Yatha Shakti).
