Blessed Karttikai Deepam Kamakshi Lamp

Karttikai Deepam is a Hindu festival of lights.  It involves lighting clay lamps (vilakku) to ward off evil spirits and spread prosperity. It is celebrated on the first full moon day of the month of Karttikai coinciding with Kṛttikā nakshatra.  

Lighting the Kamakshi diya during worship on this day or any other religious ceremonies at home is considered highly auspicious as it symbolizes the divine light that dispels darkness, ignorance, and negativity. It is believed that lighting the Kamakshi Diya illuminates a person's life with knowledge, wisdom, and divinity.

Sponsors will receive kumkum, vibhuti, and a small silver Kamakshi Lamp energized by the  divine pujas.
